FWCC received the 2010 Club Recognition Award from the Northern Ontario Curling Association (NOCA) in recognition of our efforts to develop programs and improve accessibility. FWCC was the first club in Thunder Bay to offer an Instructional League, introduced Wheelchair Curling in 2005/2006 and started a Special Olympics program in 1989.
 
Congratulations to Morris Stoyka for being deservedly recognized by the NOCA with a Volunteer Award for all the work he does for our Club and “Morning Classes” at the Brier.
