Team Hackner Wins Senior Provincials

Congrats to FWCC's Al Hackner squad who are the 2009/10 Cameco Senior Provincial Champions. Hackner's team (Art Lappalainen, Al Laine, Brian Adams Sr. and Rob Dueck) went undefeated at the event held Feb. 25-28 in Blind River. Hackner's team will represent Northern Ontario at the Canadian Senior Championships March 20 in Ottawa. Hackner will be gunning for his second national Seniors crown.

Cambly Qualifies for Men's Club Championship Final

Team Daryl Cambly defeated Rick Chicorli's squad on March 3rd in the 'A' side final. With the win, Cambly's squad of Daryl Cambly, Rob Popien, Dave Sutton and Rick Sutton have qualified for the championship game. They now await the winner of the 'B' side. The Chicorli team of Rick Chicorli, Andrew Parkes, Ken Kroker and Jim White will play in the 'B' side final and try to earn a re-match with the Cambly four.
